Through Operation Compassion’s Disaster Relief Network, “Relief America”, many families are receiving products and goods to help in the rebuilding/remodeling stage of recovery from Hurricane Sandy. According to David Lorency, Furniture has been in great demand as many simply cannot afford or do not have adequate insurance to replace lost, damaged or destroyed furnishings.

Operation Compassion Continues Re-Supplying Efforts

Two days after the brunt of Super Storm Sandy made landfall on the Eastern Coast, Operation Compassion is busy re-supplying the areas where pre-storm staging had taken place, stated David Lorency.  Sixteen semi-trucks are being delivered to those areas that were affected and an additional 20 are being staged to re-supply.

Operation Compassion Prepared for Hurricane Sandy

Well before Hurricane Sandy started skirting the eastern seaboard of the United States, Operation Compassion began assembling supplies, products and disaster relief goods just in case, stated David Lorency. As it became apparent that Hurricane Sandy was going to be a weather phenomenon, further preparations were confirmed as 10 key partners were contacted from North Carolina up the coast to New York. With product and supplies staged along the coast and inland in preparation for the snow associated with Sandy, Operation Compassion is preparing for a response unlike anything since Hurricane Katrina.
