Operation Compassion Escalates Florence Response

Flooding continues in storm-ravaged areas of North and South Carolina. In some locations, as much as forty inches of rain has fallen threatening mudslides, cresting rivers, and the breaching of dams. The situation is dire, but help is on the way.
Beginning this past Sunday, September 16th, trucks filled with critical relief-aid supplies began arriving in the affected areas. According to David Lorency, president of Operation Compassion, “Sixteen local churches are serving as distribution sites, along with three warehouses, and three factories. There are also three locations in the impacted area that will be used to provide hot meals.”
