1/4/02

December 14-16 Operation Compassion delivered a semi of toys, stocking stuffers, candy, chips, cookies and beverages for 4 Christmas parties for children. The Hispanic Church of God in New York City hosted the parties in conjunction with various police precincts.

Pastor Angel & Carmen Rodriguez, of the 6th Street Church of God, partnered with the 7th Precinct of the New York City Police Department to host a party attended by more than 4,000 children who all received toys.

Pastor Hector Chisea, of the 3rd Avenue Church of God, networked with the 44th Precinct of the NYC Police Department and provided the gifts for the children of the Bronx. This precinct exists in one of the most difficult areas of America. The one square mile the 44th precinct covers is the poorest area of New York City, the highest crime of New York City, and one of the busiest police precincts in the entire world.

4,000 children lined up and were entertained while waiting to receive presents.
