Targeting one of the four most extreme areas of poverty in the U.S. through food distribution, hot meals, job training and home repair; focusing on children, single parents, widows and senior adults.
The Appalachian Dream Center is located in one of those located in an extreme area of poverty in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia. It was established in the Spring 2002 in a 40,000 sq. ft. building donated to house food distribution, hot meal programs, senior adult day care, vision and medical assessments, computer and job skills training.
