Operation Compassion Continues Disaster Relief Deliveries

For the past two months, Operation Compassion has been busy delivering disaster relief products to those areas stricken by mammoth hurricanes from the Texas Gulf Coast to the outer reaches of the Caribbean. Operation Compassion Begins Disaster Response to Tortola

Operation Compassion began sending 40’ containers to Tortola this week after receiving clearance. Since Hurricane Irma struck the island nation in the British Virgin Islands, Tortola has been trying to piece together enough infrastructures to begin receiving shipments in port.

Operation Compassion began filling containers and airplanes headed for the Caribbean in the wake of Hurricane Maria. With electricity and other services non-existent on many island nations, Operation Compassion has been dealing with church leaders and heads of government trying to formulate a successful strategy for assisting the survivors. While the logistics of getting one container to an island port struggling to provide services is extremely difficult, Operation Compassion is trying to maximize the opportunity for getting product where the people in need are.
