Operation Compassion Participates in School Rebuild

Loading school supplies on semi.

Earlier this summer when the Arkansas River crested more than 40 feet out of its banks, towns all

along the river were flooded. One such town was Moffett, OK where every structure was affected by the flood waters. Moffett School, serving pre-k through 8 grade, sustained significant damage.

In an effort to help the Moffett School, God’s Pit Crew (GPC) has undertaken to rebuild it. Their Crisis Response Crew has been on sight tearing out and replacing and rebuilding everything they can so that the school can open on time this fall. It has been an enormous project.

A few weeks ago, GPC notified Operation Compassion of some specific needs for replenishing the school supplies and office supplies for the school. Operation Compassion loaded a semi-trailer with supplies to outfit offices such as file cabinets, desks, office chairs, shredders, projections screens, legal pads, food trays and copy paper. Also included were schools supplies for the students including backpacks, binders, kids desks, pencils, tablets, pens, paint, markers and paper.
