Operation Compassion Sends Relief Aid to Nebraska
During the past several weeks, north central and central states have suffered through torrential
rains and snow melt that has caused unprecedented flooding. Thousands of acres of farmland have been sitting under several feet of flood water. Roads have been closed, homes flooded to the second story in some cases and businesses have been shuttered. Finally, the flood waters have receded to the point where relief aid can be sent.
In response, Operation Compassion has sent disaster relief products including bottled water, non-perishable food, diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and paper products. Hundreds of families have been unable to get out and are in desperate need these items as they are working hard to get back to a “normal” life.
The Parkway Church of God in Omaha, NE is serving as a distribution point for this disaster aid. Ronnie Riddle will be dealing with the logistics of getting the product to the people who need it. As the flooding continues to abate, more supplies can be brought in to help.
Operation Compassion will need your financial help in meeting the needs of the hundreds of people affected by the severe flooding. It is easy to give online, by phone or through the mail.
