Operation Compassion Responds to Hurricane Irma

While Operation Compassion continues sending supplies to Houston in response to Hurricane Harvey, the survivors of Hurricane Irma are also being attended. With the whole state of Florida being affected in some manner by Hurricane Irma, Operation Compassion began deliveries on Saturday before Irma even cleared the state. Since then, Operation Compassion has sent 29 trucks of supplies and products to 18 disaster relief sites across Florida’s peninsula.

  • 18 distribution centers
  • 8 warehouses
  • 10 churches
  • 38 trucks delivered and scheduled for delivery
  • 72 semi-trailers staged
  • 9 non-profit partners participating
  • 2 mobile commercial kitchens
  • 53’ freezer trailer provided to Mercy Chefs
  • 53’ dry trailer provided to Church of God of Prophecy
  • 1 shower trailer provided to Baymont Church of God
  • 140 Chaplains

Hurricane Irma – Florida

  • 18 distribution centers
  • 29 trucks delivered
  • 18 additional perspective sites
  • 40 semi-trailers staged
  • 25 box trucks leased for deliveries

Hurricane Irma – Tortola, BVI

  • 85% of island destroyed
  • Government shut down
  • Government buildings destroyed
  • Schools destroyed
  • People lost everything
  • 40’ containers are being prepared and staged for shipping
