Operation Compassion Continues Relief Effort in Texas

By , August 30, 2017

Operation Compassion is in full disaster relief mode as semi-trucks are moving into the disaster area created by Hurricane Harvey and the aftermath of the torrential rainfall that tallied more than 50 inches and counting. Food, bottled water, blankets, cleaning supplies and hygiene products are a few of the items contained in each truck. Each semi-truck contains 24 pallets of product which weighs approximately 40,000 pounds.

As part of Operation Compassion’s ongoing relief effort, there are four (4) ways you can get involved:

First, visit our website (operationcompassion.org) and make a financial donation in any amount you wish.

Second, donated product can be brought to our Cleveland, TN warehouse. New hygiene products and ready to eat type meals are in high demand.

Third, sponsorships for each semi-truck sent to Texas are available. For a donation of $3,000 which covers the cost of getting the product and sending it to warehouse locations in and around the disaster area. Call the office at 423-728-3932 to receive more information.

Fourth, rent a box truck with our product to smaller churches and neighborhoods that cannot receive semi-trucks. A 26ft. box truck holds ½ of semi-truck or 12 pallets of product.

The need in Texas is great! Operation Compassion has partners spread from Corpus Christy to the eastside of Houston. Hot meals are being served, homes are being cleaned, debris is being picked up and lives are being helped through this tragedy.

Anyone can help! Will you join Operation Compassion in helping our neighbors in Texas!
