By , July 16, 2015

KYFLOOD2015-2 With the recent torrential rains throughout Kentucky, there has been flash floods and widespread flooding. One of the hardest hit areas is in the Johnson County, KY area. Operation Compassion is mobilizing a disaster response to this area working through OC’s coordinator in KY, Dave Kilburn.

According to David Lorency, president of Operation Compassion, “our response will include Church of God Chaplains and disaster relief supplies designed for flooding victims.”

KYFLOOD2015-5Part of Operation Compassion’s response includes cleaning supplies for flood cleaning, MRE’s, bleach, other cleaning supplies, trash bags, paper towels and other products to facilitate the clean-up efforts.

While others are trying to clean-up the damage to their homes, 7 people are still missing and Operation Compassion will help serve the search and rescue teams with supplies.

Even though information is still coming in about the damage assessment, you can help Operation Compassion reach this devastated community. Help your neighbors in their time of need! It easy to donate!
