Operation Compassion’s Global Compassion Network Helps in the Philippines

By , January 17, 2013

Operation Compassion is always looking for ways to help meet needs of those caught in poverty. Children are especially vulnerable because they lack the ability to help themselves. That is why Operation Compassion started Global Compassion Network so that Operation Compassion and other charities could join their resources and make a difference.

“In Manila, Philippines, a critical area for needy children, a man had a vision to feed hungry children. Home and Abroad Ministries was founded by the late Roy Humphries just for that purpose,” stated David Lorency.

Through his efforts children are now being fed, clothed and educated. Operation Compassion sends funds to purchase goods for this worthy ministry. Through our combined efforts, Home and Abroad Ministries provides food for more than 8,000 children, many of whom live on the streets and garbage dumps of greater Manila.
